The combination of the green and digital transitions is often referred to as the Twin Transition.

This concept highlights the simultaneous green and digital transitions, which mutually reinforce one another. The Digital Transformation enhances the green transition by enabling various sustainability measures, while the green transition integrates sustainability principles into the Digital Transformation.

Twin transition refers to strengthening digital solutions that support the green transition in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Digitalisation and the green transition are two mutually reinforcing directions of change that are shaping the future. These transitions are interconnected, for example, through data collection, analytics, and energy efficiency, giving solutions for the sustainable use of natural resources.

Community of Practice on Twin Transition brings together people from different field of work and education, who on the background of their professional or civic activities are related with questions on Twin Transition, with a view to learn from each other, share experiences and good practice.
