TWIN-SES 2027 Conference

Twin Transition for Sustainable Transformation in Education and Society (TWIN-SES)
University of Ghana, Ghana
22nd – 24th November 2027

Conference Scope

This conference provides an international platform for researchers, educators, policymakers, industry practitioners, and development partners to exchange knowledge and perspectives on the integration of digital transformation and environmental sustainability. The conference explores the role of emerging technologies such generative AI, sustainability education, circular economy practices, policy innovation, and interdisciplinary research in advancing inclusive, resilient, and sustainable futures. The conference advances the European Union’s agenda for the twin transition by promoting the integration of digital transformation and environmental sustainability across education and society. It welcomes theoretical and empirical research, policy analyses, and practical case studies that examine the opportunities and challenges of the twin transition across education and society, with particular attention to digital competencies, green skills, institutional transformation, and evidence-based practices. The conference seeks to foster collaboration among academia, industry, government, and civil society to translate research and innovation into meaningful educational, environmental, and societal impact. The conference also marks the culmination of an Erasmus+ project involving Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland), the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), the University of Ghana (Ghana), the University of Education, Winneba (Ghana), and the International University of Management (Namibia).
