The TeProD Project officially launched the Innovation Challenge, a key activity under Work Package 5, aimed at promoting the Twin Transition agenda through innovation, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving among students.
Led by the University of Ghana (UG), the Innovation Challenge was launched on 19 June 2026 during a virtual event that brought together students and project team members from the University of Ghana (UG), the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), and the International University of Management (IUM), Namibia.
The launch event introduced the Challenge’s objectives, rules, timeline, and participation requirements. Participants also had the opportunity to engage with the project team, ask questions, and learn how they could contribute innovative solutions to real-world challenges linked to the Twin Transition.
The initiative encouraged students to develop innovative solutions that leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Green Technologies to support sustainable economic transformation. Through the Innovation Challenge, the TeProD Project continued to foster the development of future-ready graduates equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed in a rapidly changing world.
The application period closed on 10 July 2026, and the call for participants has now ended.
The three top-performing teams will be considered for an educational trip to Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Finland and the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) in Slovakia, offering valuable opportunities for international learning, collaboration, and networking.
