We are pleased to announce the publication of the Report on Local Industry Needs and Knowledge Gap Specification in Ghana and Namibia.
This report identifies current and emerging labour market needs and evaluates knowledge gaps within partner higher education institutions in Ghana (University of Ghana and University of Education, Winneba) and Namibia (International University of Management).
The findings provide a foundation for aligning academic programmes with industry expectations—particularly in the context of the green and digital transitions, collectively referred to as the twin transition.
Developed through a collaborative, structured self-assessment framework, the report draws on insights from over 1,700 respondents, including university leadership, faculty, students, and local industry representatives.
It also includes a replicable Methodology, allowing other higher education institutions across Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond to assess and enhance their readiness for the twin transition.
